You should pool your efforts with Hunter who, last I spoke to him, was doing his own "roll your own TiVo" project. As was Adam Megacz. It is apparently a right of passage into total dorkdom to attempt to do what TiVo has nearly perfected. Anyway, good choice on the Antec Sonata. The piano black is nice and I hear it's super quiet. I don't think you'll have any problems with the 200gb drive working with your old motherboard, the IDE interface hasn't really changed much in the past few years.

The next hack in store for us is going to be TiVonet, so that I can pull off shows from the TiVo and burn neat little DVDs. Of course, the upgrade process does create the risk of me deleting everything on there, so we have to have a house meeting first.
